About Us

Who We Are

In 1989, Dayspring Christian Foundation (DCF) was founded in the Philippines by Lily Ysip. Her vision was to help and minister to the unfortunate pastors in the rural areas, thus assisting their communities as well.

The Dayspring Commission, Inc. (DCI) located in California, USA was established in 2006 to be a funding arm for DCF and later evolved to be a church known as The Dayspring Gathering. The DCI team took along missionary teams since 1995 to hold seminars, conferences

Established in 2006, Dayspring Commission, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to serving God by bringing inspiration, hope and transformation to the lives in communities around the world.

Our founder Lily V. Ysip served as a missionary to the Philippines for over twenty-five years and witnessed the plight and poverty living conditions of her fellow countrymen. Determined to make a difference, Lily began to share with her family and friends her vision of providing financial and spiritual resources to the impoverished.

Lily was a true spiritual leader and mentor.  Her wise counsel, fervent prayers and unwavering faith were qualities others admired and longed to emulate.

In 2018, Lily went on to be with the Lord. She leaves behind a ministry that is strong in its promise of advancing God’s kingdom and will continue to impact the lives touched by it.  The members are determined to continue the journey and are fully committed to stay on course.  Lily’s legacy of service will be honored by fulfilling her vision of helping pastors and communities in the Philippines and throughout the world.  Her spirit will live on as the foundation of Dayspring Commission, Inc.

The Vision

The Dayspring Commission raises funds and accepts donations throughout the year to provide pastors, orphans, and others in impoverished communities with basic necessities such as health hygiene products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, etc.), clothing, and food. These items are packed in traditional Filipino Balikbayan Boxes – “Balikbayan” means “Back to the homeland.” Some of Dayspring’s special outreach campaigns have included partnerships with churches and other ministries to provide school supplies and Christmas presents to children as well as disaster relief efforts in areas devastated by typhoons, earthquakes, and other natural disasters.
